Message about failed item doesn't seem actionable - am I misunderstanding or is this a bug?

I’m getting this message about a failed item, but I don’t know what the issue is or what I should do about it:

Here is what the .stignore file says:

/Heroic/

So I don’t know what that message wants. Since the subfolder is being ignored, why does what happens remotely matter? Sorry if I’m misunderstanding the situation completely.

You may want to remove the slash at the end. That causes it to only ignore the contents, but not the directory itself.

Please note that directory patterns ending with a slash some/directory/ matches the content of the directory, but not the directory itself. If you want the pattern to match the directory and its content, make sure it does not have a / at the end of the pattern.

This has been asked enough times to the point where I think it’s suitable for the FAQ even though it usually only happens every few years (relatively infrequent).
