May I ask 2 stupid questions?

Hey Guys,

I am reading a lot of the potential to beat BT Sync.

I can not wait to see this happen. But after watching the Syncthing intro video, I found Syncthing must make 2 features at least match to BT Sync:

  1. BT Sync allows users to easily connect to a cloud with a read only or read write key. This I am not sure is available in Syncthing. Can someone tell me such feature is available?

  2. BT Sync punches through firewall already. Can Syncthing do that.

Syncthing API is open. BT Sync is not. If Syncthing matches on the above mentioned features, BT Sync is in Deion’s trouble.

  1. No
  2. To some extent. We use UPnP, NAT-PMP and relays. There is also a UTP implementation not far away.

Could you elaborate?

On what?

On punching through firewalls.

I’ve already explained, UPnP, NAT-PMP and relays. Not sure what you want me to elaborate on.
