Sorry if this is a newbie question, I’m trying to keep my Gaming PC and my Steam deck in sync with last edited file between the two devices, so if I play with the PC and update the save, it syncs to the steam deck, and when I pick up the game later on the go with the deck and make some progress it also syncs back to the Gaming PC. hope this makes sense.

Have you encountered any issues so far? Syncthing should do precisely what you want. This is assuming that the two devices are online at the same time and are able to connect and sync with one another.
No, I haven’t set it up yet assuming I need to set it up a certain way, as I understand from your comment this is how it’s set up as default? To keep last edited file?
That’s the default behaviour, so you shouldn’t need to tweak anything. Please check the introduction at https://docs.syncthing.net/intro if you haven’t already.
Also, because Steam Deck has been mentioned, please make sure that Syncthing is installed in a way that it has access to the folders that you want to sync. You may want to search for “Steam Deck” on the forum and read on what kind of difficulties others have encountered when setting up Syncthing on the device.
