Is Syncthing ready to handle critical files?

Is Syncthing reliable enough to handle critical project files where damaging one can be catastrophic? How reliable is it? Please give me an in-detail answer! Thanks!

Test, and keep backups. Syncthing tries to take good care of data.

If you’re afraid to loose data I recommend a second backup layer, for instance automatic btrfs or zfs snapshots. Personally, I hadn’t hat any problems with synthing so far (using it since version 0.8).

It probably depends on the platform. I still suffer local-to-android loss of mtimes when adding a new folder to syncthing-android. It seems to be a platform dependent restriction.

To repeat, test and keep backups. Syncthing is not a backup program.

It is, Android won’t let you change mtime.
