Is source IP checked on connection to GUI?

Section mentions GUI cannot be accessible by other computers on LAN if syncthing is setup to 127.0.0.1:8384. Address has to be 0.0.0.0 to work. So in a scenario without firewall, one cannot do something like http://192.168.x.x:8284 to access the GUI on another computer. Does Syncthing run a check on the source address for connections to the GUI?

Is your question “what the difference between 127.0.0.1 and 0.0.0.0”?

If that’s the question, those are the IP addresses that Syncthing will listen for connections. “0.0.0.0” means “listen for connections on any IP address.” Setting the liatener address to “127.0.0.1” means “only listen for connections on the local computer.”
