Is It Possible to Use Syncthing with an SFTP Server (e.g., Feralhosting) for Android and MuOS Devices?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently using Syncthing to synchronize files between my Android devices and my RG35XXSP running MuOS. However, as far as I understand, Syncthing works only over a local network. I would like to use my SFTP server hosted by Feralhosting as an intermediary for synchronization.

Here’s what I want to achieve

1.Sync files between my Android devices and my RG35XXSP via Syncthing.

2.Automatically redirect these synced files to my SFTP server on Feralhosting.

Is there a way to configure Syncthing to use an SFTP server as a target for synchronization? If not, are there any alternative methods or tools that could help me achieve this setup?

Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Hehe… No! Out of the box Syncthing works between devices anywhere, as long as there are no restrictive firewalls.

Syncthing doesn’t use SFTP.

Syncthing works over the Internet, see Firewall Setup — Syncthing documentation, Global Discovery v3 — Syncthing documentation, and Relaying — Syncthing documentation .
