Ignore files/folders before first sync

If I add a new share to a device I cannot access the ignore patterns dialog until after I accept the share and the folders begin syncing.

This means that I then need to input my ignore patterns, delete the files/folders that were synced within the first few minutes before I could enter the ignore patterns, and then pause/resume the sync so that the new filters are picked up.

This always makes me nervous because I don’t like deleting directories that have already been synced since there is some risk that my ignore patterns would not hit it and the delete will be propagated to my other devices.

Am i missing a way to accomplish this?

You can pre-create a .stignore file manually as a workaround.

Another option would be pausing before accepting the share.

There is work in progress on this front, among the pull requests.
