How to upgrade Syncthing in Synctrayzor

Hi, I installed SyncTrayzor some time ago and while browsing this site I read “Please make sure you are running the latest release”, and I know that it is a good thing to have the latest version.

Everything works fine, but I would like to know how to update Syncthing, since I currently have a rather old version installed.

  • How do I update Syncthing?
  • Is there a way to update it from SyncTrayzor automatically / is there any setting to notify me if there are new updates available?

SyncTrayzor uses the official syncthing binaries, which have automatic upgrades enabled by default. SyncTrayzor itself is mostly abandoned and hasn’t seen an update in a long time.

If you have disabled automatic upgrades, you can reenable them in the settings.

For now everything appears fine, using it myself currently. But future compatibility is definitely uncertain.
