I created a new issue because the discussion on the original one has lost track of the conversation.
I want to only send files from my PC to my Android tablet (running Syncthing Fork), I do not want to sync files back to my PC because that is the device I make all my changes on.
I have it set up to “send only” to the tablet, but I keep getting an “Out of Sync” error where I have to keep hitting the “Override Changes button”.
Note that Syncthing is not always running on both devices, I only turn it on when I want to sync the files for use on my tablet.
Someone mentioned using “Ignore Patterns” but I looked though the documentation and couldn’t figure it out, plus someone else mentioned that isn’t how “Ignore Patterns” are used.
If I can’t do this on Syncthing does anyone know of any other free service that would work for this between the Windows and Android operating systems?
Note that I use Syncback Free to sync the files and folders to a laptop and it is setup for a one way sync but there is no Android version of Syncback. I have that setup to run unattended so if any file errors come up it ignores them.
EDIT: I just discovered that I can set the folder on my tablet (via Syncthing Fork) to receive only. Apparently it gives Syncthing specific permissions so maybe it will keep that “Out of Sync” error from popping up.
