Restart of syncthing, pause, reload … all sync that are not finished start from the beginning. Is that intended ? With large folders like a movie collection a scan takes multiple days (even split to A-Z folders some of my folders have 10TB). Is there a way to pause on purpose and continue later ?
Pausing a scan like that is impossible. Please keep in mind that while the very first scan can take a long time, as Syncthing needs to hash all the files, subsequent scans shouldn’t take that long… unless the storage is extremely slow or something not local, e.g. a network drive.

Also, it is resumed when you restart Syncthing. Files that were hashed before are not rehashed.

so the individual files cannot be paused, but a finished file is “done” and skipped ?
Correct
