How to prevent Command Prompt (CMD) from opening automatically when starting Windows 10?

Hi, I use Syncthing-GTK.

Thx for the help.

I can read this:

Use the “—-no-console” command line switch. See Syncthing — Syncthing documentation .

I’d strongly suggest to use code formatting on the forum .

Just in case, it should be:

--no-console

Please keep in mind though that this only works when using the old Command Prompt as the default console and not the new Windows Terminal.

Thx for the help. How I do to use the old command prompt as the default console?

I have created a shortcut with “R:\Installation\Office\syncthing\syncthing.exe --no-console”, but the apply doesn’t remain.

You can do it in the Windows Settings:

Thank you for that correction sir! I will strive to remember to use code formatting in the future.

Try this, works for me: Win 10 and 11 updates breaks –no-console

Also, in case it might be helpful: Syncthing Windows Setup can create a scheduled task that runs at logon and doesn’t display the console (it does this using the stctl utility).
