I have followed this website: https://apt.syncthing.net/ to install the latest stable version of syncthing but I really want the ability to install a specific version of syncthing. I have tried doing apt-get install syncthing=<version_number> and apt-get install syncthing@<version_number> but both failed. Any ideas if we can install a specific version of syncthing on debian based systems?

If you don’t want the latest version, I wouldn’t use apt but download the desired release yourself and use that with upgrades disabled: Releases · syncthing/syncthing · GitHub
