My transfer speeds are pretty slow. I’ve been reading that if you open the web GUI it’ll slow speeds. Is that true? IF so, how else can I determine transfer speeds (i.e. what other programs can I use).
Never heard of it, false from my experience.
Regarding “other programs” you can use all kinds of system-monitoring stuff, such as build in “Task Manager” or “Resource Monitor” on Windows, etc.
Some time ago, the WebUI really caused the transfer to be slower, because the calculation needed for the info in the UI were so resource hungry, that it slowed everything down. Nowadays, this shouldn’t be the case anymore.
On linux, you can use iotop -o to check the disk read/write speeds.
