How do I disable the warning?

I use Syncthing on several devices, including a router with openwrt (it’s very convenient when you have a device on the local network that is always online). I have no users on the router other than root, this is not provided by the firmware. When I connect to the web interface, on the Syncthing page at the top there is an annoying notice: “Syncthing should not be run as a privileged or system user. Please consider using a normal user account.” I would like to disable this notice. At the moment, I use the Ublock origin browser extension to block this notification, but I think this is not the best option as I might miss other really important notifications. So I have a question to the respected community, how can I disable this useless, in my case, notification?

Welcome here @urgam !

Sorry, you can’t disable it. Search the forum for the error message, and you will find arguments and, more importantly, hopefully a more specific Ublock recipe. See for example Feature Request: Option to turn off warning "Syncthing should not run as a privileged or system user." .

Thanks. I read the option to disable using Ublock, the link you provided. Wouldn’t other, non trash and truly important notifications from syncthing be filtered out in that case?

I don’t know for certain, but it seems to me like you can prove a string in the filter. If true, then you could provide a longer string than just one word.
