Hi, I have setup and been testing sync thing over the past couple of days as a potential replacement for owncloud. I was prompted to change because I have been looking to setup an offsite backup for my owncloud installation. With owncloud there is no simple way to setup a backup copy of the server. With syncthing this will be easy, all I need to do is setup another client as there is no specific server. It also means I don’t have to manage failover as with owncloud it needs to be one server or the other.
Syncthing was the easiest program to setup I have used in a long time. Great work.
I am not sure if I can help with development as I am only familiar with vb.net, but I am happy to help with testing in any way. It’s nice to support open source projects.
