Help!
To use Syncthing on my laptop I usually just click on the Syncthing Web UI icon on the Ubuntu launcher. Now it is not taking me to the interface. Firefox is just showing a connection error message.
I forgot my login name and password. I cannot even remember the email address that is being asked for. Please advise me if you can.
It’s not clear to me what your issue is. If you’re unable to connect to Syncthing’s web UI, check to see if the process is running. On Mac and Linux, ps -ef | grep syncthing will show two Syncthing processes plus grep running, if it’s running. On Windows check Task Manager.
If Syncthing is asking you for GUI login, that’s a different issue, you can reset the password by editing the config file or using a command line option.
My issue was as stated in my post. I was being asked by Syncthing to login. I had forgotten my user name and password. By searching elsewhere online I found out how to reset them in the Terminal, a place I very rarely visit. I have now rest them and regained access.
