Following Migration from one Mac to another

I just got a new mac laptop and migrated all programs etc. from my mac mini. I now wish to be able to use Syncthing on both devices.

The new device thinks it is the old device, but I want to be able to get a separate Key so that I can sync folders between the two devices.

My logic says to remove Syncthing and then reinstall new and have the laptop as a new device, but even after I uninstall Syncthing completely from the laptop, when I reinstall, it immediately connects with the Key from the old mac mini. How can I get a new Key for the new laptop?

Delete the cert.pem and key.pem files in ~/Library/Application Support/Syncthing, and restart Syncthing (Actions → Restart in the Web GUI) on the new device.

Note: the Library folder is hidden in Finder by default. You can jump directly to that folder by using Go → Go to folder, and then using ~/Library/Application Support/Syncthing as the path.

Thank you so much Marcus, this was the help I needed. I think I have it all set up again now and syncing the folders.

Much appreciated.
