I need to sync a folder used by Firefox which has lots of files in it, but only one is locked – parent.lock. I must use Firefox to sync, so that file is locked during syncing, so I cannot share that folder.
Is there a solution to this problem?
You need to add the file to your ignore patterns for the folder in question.
Just a side note, but if you’re trying to sync a full Firefox profile, please make sure not to run the browser simultaneously on both devices, as it’s not built to support syncing that way, and doing so will lead to data corruption. You can only run the browser on another device after closing it completely on one side and waiting for all changes to sync first.
Also, there are way more files that can be ignored regarding Firefox profile. Otherwise, you will be syncing a lot of useless stuff, e.g. cache files, temporary files that are re-created on every browser start, etc.
