Failed to exchange hello / Application Error 0x0 Connection Closing - Can't figure out why.

Hey there,

My syncthing connection was working well for quite a long time, and I’m not sure if this was a software update or something else that changed things, but I can’t get the files to sync to my remote device. Here’s an example of the logs.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I’ve searched the forums here, and I’m not seeming to get much relevant info. The two devices can definitely talk to each other, and the right ports are open on the routers. Thanks!

I have no clue about the exact error message. The connections are quic, meaning tcp doesn’t work (as that’s tried first). So maybe something changed with firewalls/NATs to prevent the tcp connections - see Firewall Setup — Syncthing documentation.

Generally for more help, please post more information on your setup (syncthing version, OS, network, …) and a screenshot with the remote device where the problems exist expanded.
