Error on Folder "Default Folder"

Have an error message ’

Error on folder “Default Folder” (default): folder marker missing (this indicates potential data loss, search docs/forum to get information about how to proceed)’

Sorry I don’t know where to start looking. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks.

Can you post a screenshot that shows the Syncthing Web GUI in full? Are there any files in the folder? Have you been sharing the folder with other devices?

Sure. There are no files in the folder on the first device. There are test files in folders in the other devices. I can’t get any of the devices to ‘talk’ to each other. Let me know if there are any log files I can upload

Please check whether the path C:\Users\steph\Sync actually exists. If it does but it’s empty, then please don’t try to recreate the .stfolder manually, because doing so will cause file deletion on other devices. Also, has the problem with the marker missing occurred on the very first run or did it use to work properly before?

It seems that the folder is currently shared between the laptop and the Android phone but not between the laptop and the other OOTZOV device. When it comes to the devices being unable to connect, we will need to see the same screenshots from the other sides. On Android, you can access the Web GUI from the left slide-out panel. Some of the important parts are “Listeners” and “Discovery” under “This Device”. In the case of the laptop, everything looks fine regarding them though.

Thanks for taking the trouble to reply. I’m still tweaking it and will get back to you soon.
