I updated version 1.29 to the latest version yesterday. The clients stopped syncing, and some folders returned an unknown status. The update gave an error. I restored the configuration folder and the executable, and it worked again. Do I need to update to another version before moving to 2.0?
There is no such need. First of all, it would be good if you could show the actual error message displayed after upgrading to v2. Visual clues like screenshots are also very welcome. Please also include information on your operating system, how you have installed Syncthing on it, etc.
Thanks for replying. I clicked to update, a window appeared informing me of the update, and then a red one with just an error message. I’ll try to update again tomorrow. I’ll take screenshots in case the error appears. It’s running on Windows Server 2019.
I did the update and it ran fine, no errors, for a few days it worked fine, but some folders are in unknown status, after a few minutes they return to normal state and switch back to unknown, any tips?
Look at logs.

Strange situation
After updating to the latest version, some folders enter unknown status, the interface buttons don’t work, the log doesn’t appear.
After a while, it starts working again, the files sync, the interface buttons start working again, then they stop working and it returns to unknown status.
I couldn’t see any light in the log.
The “uknown” status, etc. means that the GUI is unresponsive. This can happen sometimes, e.g. when the connection or the storage is maxed out, etc. If the state repeats itself, I think you may need to do some proper debugging to be able to investigate further (e.g. see https://docs.syncthing.net/users/profiling).

The problem is that the folders keep alternating between unknown and synchronized. My interface is in Portuguese, and it keeps alternating between unknown (red) and synchronized (green). When the folders appear as unknown, the interface buttons don’t work. When I click on the log, only a blank screen appears. If I try to make any configuration changes, the interface freezes.
Logs look fine. Perhaps a browser, plugin, proxy, or firewall problem?
I’ve tried clearing the cache, updating the browser, trying another browser, Edge, disabling the firewall and the problem persists. I don’t use a proxy.
