Just had a question. I have ended up creating two devices for the same machine.
When I was setting up Syncthing for the first time, I tried changing the port to a different number (eg. localhost:5555) and the GUI stopped working. I could not find a solution and I ended up re-installing Syncthing and went through the setup process again.
I was able to set it up the second time around without any issues.
I now see the old ‘Disconnect (Unused)’ device in the Remote Devices List. I wanted to know if there is a way to delete the unused device and just keep the one I am using now.
Thank you for your reply, @chaos! Yes, I do see the Remove button.
I just have a question, if I remove it, does that mean that it just removes it from the list (i.e. it is hidden but still exists)? If so, are there any lingering problems with having the device being out there, as is?
Removing a Remote Device removes it from the configuration of the Syncthing instance you’re using. That’s all it does. I would not be concerned about any lingering problems based on what you’ve told me.
If a Remote Device doesn’t exist any more, for whatever reason, I would recommend that it be deleted from any other device it’s configured on.
