Does send and receive delete folders that I removed?

I currently am setup to sync folders for a markdown note program between my PC and my Fire Max 11 tablet. I am currently using send only from my PC to the my tablet. I am debating switching it to send and receive because there may be changes I make in the files while on the tablet.

My question is that if I delete a folder or files on my PC will it delete the files also on the tablet or will it receive them back from the tablet since they are no longer on my PC?

Yes, except when ignoreDelete is enabled. Using that option is discouraged.

Yes to which one?

  1. It deletes the folders on the tablet I deleted on my PC.
  2. It will send them back to the PC from the tablet since the files are no longer on the PC.

The one in the title (1). Using ignoreDelete is discouraged, not Send & Receive, to be clear.

Deleting behaves the same way on the PC with send & receive as if you deleted it with it being send only, and the tablet being receive only (your current setup).

It’s deleting files on the tablet that becomes different. If your tablet is receive only, it will not send deletions. If it is send & receive, it will send deletions.
