Differentiated initial sync

Hello everybody,

I wonder if there is any feature to make an initial sync different from the following one (send only folder) so that it sends all the files in the folder the first time a machine downloads the shared folder but ignore certain files after that. For example if I have a config file that I want to appear on that machine when downloading the folder but leave it unique to that machine after some local change is done to it.

Appreciate your help.

I don’t think so.

Syncthing’s goal is to make two identical folders on both sides.

Seems this does not fit your usecase.

One could abuse versioning for this but i have to agree with @AudriusButkevicius that there are better tools for this job.
