deleted folder to recreate and change path and syncthing throws error

hello. i setup syncthing on a new (android) device and went to my primary device to share a folder. went to GUI for new device and “accepted” the share but put a typo in the local directory :(, deleted the folder, went back to my primary and unchecked and rechecked share again (to prompt a new accept request), accepted the request on the android device and typed in the correct local directory path… however syncthing is throwing an error that the “folder marker” is missing. halp???

What is your Android version and the specific folder path that you’re trying to sync?

Android 13. Old folder path is /roms/pico8, correct (new) folder path is /roms/pico-8/carts. thx. the old and new folder both point to a folder on my laptop which i’m using as my primary data store.

Are those paths on the Android device? I’ve never seen /roms/ there, but it usually starts with /media/ or /storage/.

i deleted the folder on the remote device (per above) and woke up this morning to a new/automatic request from the primary to share. not sure why that took hours to come through but i was able to accept and map to the correct directly so all is well now thx.
