Days to sync 7GB on a LAN, how can I figure out what is going on?

Hi,

I just installed Syncthing in 3 systems, a Rasbperry Pi 2 with Raspbian, a Windows 10 Profesional and a Windows 10 Home.

All three systems are in the same LAN and all connected through Ethernet.

It is a 7GB share and the Pi and the Windows Pro synchronised straight away, but after keeping the Windows Home running for three days it is still at 7% Global state: 58460 ítems, ~7.04 GiB Local state: 9111 ítems, ~661 MiB

Any suggestions about how to trouble shoot it?

Thanks in advance.

JD Evora

Hi,

I see multiple time the following message, could it be the cause? Why looking at the relay network when it should find it on the local one?

Cheers JD

Yeah, you’re on a relay. Check the firewall on the machines.

If you’re using static local IPs, you can use them instead of using the discovery server. change the IP from ‘dynamic’ to the ip:port (haven’t done it, but it is described in the webui)

Hope it helps

Hi,

The problem is that two of the machines are laptops that I want to use in different locations, I´ll try put the local IPs first and the dynamic a the end…

You should probably just use dynamic then.

Check the firewalls on all machines. If it isn’t working on a local network (same subnet) then it is probably a firewall issue.
