Connection to multiple IP adresses

Hi,

I am using Syncthing on my Mac and I’m wondering why it connects to about hundreds and more ip addresses around the world? My Little Snitch application for monitoring outgoing connections is going crazy for Syncthing.

It probes (a subset of) the relay servers to find one that’s close and available.
