button has appeared, upgrade to v2.1.3

Syncthing on Mac os says most recent is 2.1.2-1, which I have. I have also done an update on the syncthing container on my nas. But I get the following error in the web interface when using my mac book:

2026-08-10 13:09:34: Automatic upgrade failed (error=“rename /Applications/syncthing /Applications/syncthing.old: no such file or directory” log.pkg=main)

Is “upgrade” the same as “update”?

Can you post screenshots showing what you’re seeing on the screen? The explanation isn’t clear enough to understand what is going on exactly.

There is a button at the top of the screen, it’s appeared there recently in the browser interface:

When I press the button I get errors:

syncthing says that 2.1.2-1 is the newest version so why is it telling me to update?:

also, the same error does appear periodically even if i don’t click the button.

@xor-gate Have you got any idea what may be going on here? I was under impression that internal Syncthing upgrades were disabled when using the wrapper.

The button and the error appear in the web ui on my macbook. In the mac os application, it says that I have the most recent update, also on the container on my nas I have the most recent update.
