I wanted to preserve battery on my Windows laptop, and decided that I don’t need Syncthing to sync while I’m on battery.
The service is run using Scheduled Tasks, which has an option to shut down while not connected to AC power. When I connect AC power, the service starts automatically.
I’m quite happy with this solution.
