需要身份验证 (Authentication Required in android)

Yesterday, I switched from Syncthing to Syncthing-Fork1.29.6 using a backup of my config file, and everything worked fine at the time.

However, this morning when I tried to access Syncthing-Fork’s Web GUI, it prompted me for a username and password. The problem is, I never set up any credentials before and have no idea what the username and password should be.

Referring to an issue I saw on GitHub, I wanted to try deleting the username/password from Syncthing’s config.xml to see if it would work. But I only found an empty files folder under Android/data/com.github.catfriend1.syncthingandroid. I then tried modifying the config.xml in my backups and importing the data, but no matter whether I deleted or modified the credentials, I still couldn’t access the Web GUI—it kept saying the password was wrong, even after clearing the app data and restarting.

Can anyone help me? What should I do?

In the Syncthing-Fork app, open the hamburger slide-out menu, and tap Web GUI. That should open the Web GUI and authenticate for you.

Accessing from a web browser will cause an authentication prompt.

Please check the Syncthing-Fork app settings. There should be a place to set your username and password there (see Web GUI: authentication required · Issue #1085 · Catfriend1/syncthing-android · GitHub).
