I already use the Ubuntu PPA but I’d like to add syncthing to my Raspberry Pi and Beaglebone Black, are there PPAs for those?
These I think run a flavor of debian, which could just use our apt repo.
But surely the code is architecture specific, or does the repository have multiple architectures built for it?
There are multiple architectures.
Ah, so there are, thank you.
I just installed syncthing from the PPA and the version I get is a bit confusing:-
syncthing v0.14.18-dfsg1 “Dysprosium Dragonfly” (go1.7.4 linux-arm) debian@debian 2017-04-06 06:17:39 UTC
Is this right?
What do you mean by “the PPA”? That sounds like a version from the debian repo https://packages.qa.debian.org/s/syncthing.html (but the version doesn’t match what’s actually in there atm). Directly from the Syncthing project itself there is apt.syncthing.net.
Oops, it’s OK, it was me being silly. I forgot to ‘apt upgrade’ before ‘apt install syncthing’, I now have the right version of syncthing.
Thanks for all the help.
