Another Candidate format?

Already running

Installed version : 2.0.13~rc.1

the update manager now shows

Available version : 2.0.13~rc.1.dev.1.gb7b494b7

IMM it is the first time I see such an update. and github won’t show no hit for gb7b494b7 search.

Please say a bit.

Merry Christmas ST lovers

What update manager are you using?

A version string like that indicates that at build time, one more commit was included after the rc tag. What that is, only the package producer will know.

Looks like this: fix(beacon): skip point-to-point interfaces on Android (#10504) · syncthing/syncthing@b7b494b · GitHub

Yeah, not a candidate build as such, but a build from main on the commit following the current candidate.

Thanks you devs. I use the Gnome’s update-manager package manager. Only the g letter in the string prevented me to find this commit. Thanks again.

That text just means “this build includes the next commit after your rc” in syncthing. It’s nothing special. the `g` in `gb7b494b7` basically simply stands for “git” therefore searching github with it won’t work straight.

It appears strange, but it’s safe since your update manager is detecting the most recent main build after 2.0.13~rc.1. Check the commit hash `b7b494b` in syncthing’s repository to see the precise changes.

The one that installed is v2.0.13-rc.1.dev.2.g1843cac6.

Nice piece of soft Syncthing Rosalie, isn’t it ?
