in android I had to use web gui to create a new folder as “Receive Encrypted”. After that do i have to always use web gui for syncing that folder? Is web gui is mandatory just for folder creation?

Once set up, the folder will just sync in the background, so you normally don’t need to touch anything neither in the app nor in the Web GUI. For the creation of “Receive Encrypted” folders, the Web GUI is mandatory for now.

Other custom settings are only available in web GUI. Main settings are available in the Android GUI.
