Allow editing topics in "Howto" category with no time limitations?

Currently, it seems that the forum limits how long the user is able to edit their own topics regardless of the category. If possible, I would like to ask to remove this limitation for the “Howto” category specifically.

The reason is that after writing a guide on something, it is common to want to update it as time goes by, either because the author has learnt something new, found a flaw in the previous instructions, or simply because Syncthing itself (or other software mentioned there) has changed since then. With no ability to edit those topics later on, they can become either outdated or irrelevant very quickly.

For reference, I’m no longer able to edit the original post in https://forum.syncthing.net/t/optimising-syncthing-for-low-end-hardware/14885.

Yeah that’s not a per-category setting, but posts can be made “wiki” which allows editing of them. I wikified your post, we can see how that works out.

Thank you very much :slightly_smiling_face:! Can I ask for the same treatment regarding https://forum.syncthing.net/t/how-to-sync-contacts-and-calendars-between-desktop-and-android-without-root/21326? It’s already locked and I wanted to add one more tip.
