Wrong permissions - I can´t use Syncthing on Kubuntu

Hey there!

Could someone help me please?

I am trying to make Syncthing to work here, in my new Kubuntu installation. I am pretty beginner on this, and I am suffering a lot here, unfortunately.

Syncthing web GUI keeps me pointing me to errors:

2022-06-07 14:32:52: Loading ignores: lstat /home/ewsg/Documentos/obsidian/.stignore: permission denied

2022-06-07 14:32:52: Failed to create folder root directory stat /home/ewsg/Documentos/obsidian: permission denied

2022-06-07 14:32:52: Error on folder “Obsidian” (lspvs-jmehn): stat /home/ewsg/Documentos/obsidian: permission denied

And I can´t progress.

I tried already to run the command:

sudo chmod -R 755 /home/ewsg/Documentos/obsidian/

Where “obsidian” is the folder I need to sync. But even so I keep getting the above mentioned errors.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. ews

At a guess, you might have Syncthing running as a different user than ewsg?

So, I really don´t know.

I noticed a message regarding this, when I installed syncthing-gael on Kubuntu. But the message disappeared quickly.

Now I am experimenting this problem.
