You can run up to Syncthing v1.23.7 on Windows 8, but newer releases will require

1.27.0 should be good. See here:

1.27.0 Working. Вisabled auto update for now Auto Upgrade Interval (hours) = 0 ps I hope they fix it for Windows 7
