Windows with Cellular and wifi

How can I setup a windows (laptop) device automatically to only sync with a wifi network and not with a cellular connection?

Lots to find about mobile devices… but hard/not to find about windows.

A cellular connections is constantly needed for other data, but the limits are not high.

There is no way to do that I believe.

Maybe a dirty workaround is possible: Setup an outgoing firewall rule for Syncthing.exe and block all connections coming from local IP range (your 10.x.y.z/8 cellular client IP).

On Windows 8 and higher you can mark a network connection as “metered”. The syncthing wrapper SyncTrayzor can be configured to stop sync with devices which are connected over a metered connection.

Yes, good point. Synctrayzor might handle this.
