Hello, since we are technically able to generate certs ourselves for Syncting, what prevent a node from using SHA512 instead of SHA256 for exemple ? If someone do, will the node SHA512 be able to communicate with other nodes correctly ?
You can substitute pretty much whatever valid TLS certificate you like. The device ID and file hashes will still be sha256 based though.
