update or not with older macOS?

I’m using macOS Sierra and High Sierra (10.12 // 10.13) with Syncthing 1.21.0 - 1. Is there any gain or danger to update to the newest version of Syncthing? Are there restrictions using older macOS?

Thanks for advise

You’re asking about updating from the previous minor version to the latest. Most users do this every month. The gain is in the release notes, the risk is new bugs, as always for any software.

Your operating system is old and technically unsupported, both in Syncthing 1.21 and 1.22. If it works, it works, but you’ll need to test for yourself.

I have High Sierra and found 1.20 would not work but 1.19.2 works fine. I had one problem that you can workaround if it affects you - see Mac OS Syncthing will not go online because 'start at login' plist never gets updated with Workaround · Issue #8609 · syncthing/syncthing · GitHub

Cheers
