Syncthing Architecture (1).pdf (18.5 KB) New to Linux/Syncthing. My home/office has four computers with the same User files on each. LaptopHP has the same “This Device Identification” for the three different Users. Is this an error? Should I delete the database and keys to start over?
Can you post a screenshot of the Syncthing Web GUI where you’re seeing the same ID multiple times?
Identification is decided by device certificate. If you copy pasted the certificate around, you’ll end up with the same identity

I logged on off to each User1, User2, User3 and took a screen shot; as a new user I could only upload two. “This Device Identification” is the same for each User1-3 on LaptopHP
I do not think that I copied and pasted the certificate. I expected a different “This Device Identification” for each user.
Device identity is derived from the cerrificate, so for two instances to have the same device id, they must be using the same certificate.
