Thanks all for the posts. To be clear I’m basically here because I want the synctrain experience on desktop. How to accomplish this is less clear, hence my half-baked proposal. I will think about it more and hopefully make another post in good time with a more thought through idea. Or maybe I’ll just port synctrain to mac

Already ahead of you: there is actually a macOS version and I am currently waiting for App Review to approve it!
Elsewhere on this forum is a link to an earlier build which is notarized. I can publish a more recent one later.
