Syncthing v0.14.39

v0.14.39

This is a regularly scheduled stable release.

Resolved issues:

  • #4357: Removing paused folders no longer triggers a crash.
  • #4360: Add further security related HTTP headers
  • #4375: Improve info level logging in some cases
  • #4377: Improve GUI tooltips in chromium based browsers
  • #4382: Hide temporary files on Windows
  • #4387: Add -device-id command line switch

In addition, failure to upgrade folder markers from file to directory type is no longer fatal.

I am using Syncthing 0.14.38 on MacOS. This morning I found the following notices about Automatic upgrade from my Syncthing 0.14.38:

2017-10-11 10:17:48: Automatic upgrade: incorrect signature

2017-10-11 10:19:06: upgrading: incorrect signature

Doesn’t Automatic upgrade work normally on my mac?

A post was split to a new topic: Git clone error

Due to human error plus a confusion on the build server, I uploaded both the syncthing-macosx-amd64-v0.14.39.tar.gz (correct release) and the syncthing-macosx-amd64-v0.14.39+1-gf0ccc1e6.tar.gz (current master, not a signed release) archives.

Syncthing upgrade process picked the wrong one (lexically first in the list), and correctly noted that it was not a properly signed release.

I’ve removed the incorrect archives from the release, Mac upgrades now work. Thanks for noticing!
