# Syncthing stopped working and not starting properly on windows 10

I have this error in synctrayzor [monitor] 2022/05/04 11:13:27 INFO: Log output saved to file “C:\Users\Rohan-Jean Bianco\AppData\Local\Syncthing\syncthing.log” [start] 2022/05/04 11:13:27 INFO: syncthing v1.20.0 “Fermium Flea” (go1.18.1 windows-amd64) [teamcity@build.syncthing.net](mailto:teamcity@build.syncthing.net) 2022-04-25 17:15:14 UTC [start] 2022/05/04 11:13:27 WARNING: Error opening database: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. (is another instance of Syncthing running?)

When I try to kill the syncthing process in task manager is doesnt work.

Does restarting Windows make any difference? If not, then it does seem that you’ve got two instances of Syncthing running that are trying to use the same database. Have you, by any chance, installed Syncthing in any other way than SyncTrayzor (e.g. by downloading the official binary and setting it up to start automatically, or by using yet another wrapper)?
