Syncthing Resets event IDs and removes previously captured events on restart

I installed syncthing as a docker image. On restarting the container all the event IDs(ID and globalID) related to event poll api got reset and the ID count again started from 1. And I lost all the events in my history. Is there a way to avoid reseting the ID count on syncthing restart. Is there a way to retain all the events before syncthing restart.

Events are not stored, other than the last few that are kept in an in-memory buffer for API clients. So, no.
