Syncthing-Fork: Debug Vs Release

Will there forever and always be zero difference between them?

The former (debug) simply offers a 2nd install for debug/testing etc.

Thank you

Which “them” are you referring to?

Debug and release apks

Some Android thing :ok_hand:

Syncthing-Fork release is the recommended way to install/use the app.

If you like to participate in pull requests or help with development, you could use the debug version to update early and try out your changes on top of the last release tag.

More info about the different builds can be found on the wiki. :slightly_smiling_face:

I read the doco & it seemed to suggest that theyre exactly the same, except for the points I mentioned in my prior post

@Catfriend1 ?

I’ve already answered :slightly_smiling_face:. There isn’t much more to tell. For a “normal user” , both versions will run fine. If you have problems, you could try bleeding edge “nightly” debug build from a PR where I (might) work on that problem. You won’t get a “completely different” version doing so.

Not really, you have now, kinda. You’ll also need to refine your doco, as there’s clear discrepancies between what you’re saying here, & what’s said elsewhere.

Please submit a suggestion what you prefer as the docu text on github. :slightly_smiling_face:
