Syncthing floods my syslog...

… by login connections. Can I stop ST to log to syslog keeping possible to read logs from the new GUI feature ?

Thank you

The other side is closing the connection. Maybe they don’t know you.

Oh yes Jakob, good idea, and very likely for this device. I’ll check this.

And what about the question about stop login to syslog ?

That depends on how you set it up or how it was packaged and has little with Syncthing itself to do unfortunately, so I don’t know.

Sorry, I thought it was some syncthing option I didn’t find in the doc. After I gave a try with firefox and look in syslog for connections I didn’t find these so I thought it was ST setting.

Maybe some system setting then that prevents ff login

Bye

Syncthing by itself only logs to stdout. Systemd, runit, etc can pick it up and forward to syslog though, and of course syslog itself can filter out and separate stuff if you like (it’s what it does).
