Syncthing 2.0 (August 2025)

can we make the tweaks RC rather than releases. I have a backup server that runs on older rust and each time there’s a revision, it takes a good day to check / index the files so it and most of my nodes are all stable release only updates

I’m only speaking for myself here, but I think the reason why these are released as stable versions is that a lot of people have been reporting issues regarding Syncthing 2.0 performance (and especially RAM usage), and most of these fixes are meant to deal with them specifically.

Yeah the rapid-fire releases here are an exception to the norm, things will calm down once we’re in a better place with 2.0 stability.
