Staggered File Versioning not (really) working on Windows10

Using 0.14.24 on Win10.

I have set up my folder with staggered file versioning using another folder for versioning (on another win drive). After some time up and some changes, the versioning folder contains 32 folders, but no files. That does not seem to be correct.

Having such a failsafe mechanism is essential for me. (I currently experience unmotivated deletions of files.)

You cannot use versioning across different drives. It should ideally be documented or fixed.
