Some differences

Hello together,

I use 4 Synology Server and especially on 2 Servers I test Syncthing for using. With version v0.12.2 if have some strange differences, like “out of syncing”, differences in the content and so one, as follow:

In all cases and because also with version 0.11.x I have the problem with “out of sync” issues, I using the option “ignore permissions”. But I can´t imagine, if there problems with wrong settings or others.

On the two out of sync folders, you have 4 Items (512 Byte) which cannot be synced.

To check which files and what the problem is, please open the lists for not synced objects and failed objects.

Thanks, I know, but for me is not possible to generate any actions in this case, because the files are deleted in the past or other such issues are happen. Maybe is good to have a reset button to renew the index, because a new scan for such issues is no solution.

Hm? This is exactly what scanning does, detecting removed files and so on.

I have the message “Out of Sync Items”…

…and in the other cases I have differences in the size.

Yes, but what is the error on those files, if you click “4 items” beside “failed items”?

Okay, for the 2 issues

Sorry for BTsync…

I have seen this myself. Happened when I deleted a folder with subfolders. Seemingly the “delete folder” was issued before all files in it were gone. However, with 12.2 this resolves after a few scan cycles.

Because of the size differences, I found out, it may possible, that is a browser problem. But I don´t know exact, if there is a cache issue or others. The above pictures I make in may daily FireFox browser. If I use Google browser, I see no differences. But is my first use…

There are probably ignored files in those directories that are preventing them from being deleted.

According to the screenshots, he does not use ignores.

That’s true. What is in those directories?

The complet content of the folders “Ablage” and “ST12”

Indead, if I delete all cache content of FireFox, it seems, all is okay … ?

I’m not sure if your paste is missing slashes, but I’m going to assume it is and interpret

\synology\cloudstation\SyncTest\ST12\Synology\BTsync##### Ignore #####.stfolder

as

\synology\cloudstation\SyncTest\ST12\Synology\BTsync\##### Ignore #####\.stignore

as both “BTsync” and “##### Ignore #####” are mentioned in the screenshot above, and .stignore is itself an ignored file which would block the delete of those directories.

Sorry, no. For the issue Synology-412 I send you a screenshot of the “flat view” of Freecommander

That’s a weird flat view. How do you manage to have multiple folders and files with the same name in the same place?

This is a function of my file browser

http://freecommander.com

If you have a lot of folders and subfolders, you can view all in one flat. This is great for such things! …
