EDIT The obvious solution was right in front of me! I just locked the .stfolder on the Mac. It doesn’t answer the title of the thread, however it solves the actual issue I was having.
So I’ve run into an issue that I can’t get my head around regarding Apple’s .localized folders. I am using iTunes match on my Mac mini to copy my music collection to Apple’s iCloud. I am trying to automate this system via a folder on a linux server that has MP3s of my music collection added to it whenever there is an update, which I would like to sync with a folder on my Mac mini called ‘Automatically add to music’ (This is an apple created folder that automatically imports music that is added to it and then periodically deletes everything else in the folder) I can set up Syncthing to directly sync a folder on my server with the ‘automatically add to music’ folder which works perfectly for a moment until the auto deletion process kicks in and my .stfolder is deleted and the sync is broken. I thought an alternative solution might be to sync the parent ‘Music’ folder on the Mac, however all that appears to sync is the .localized folders it contains.
Could anyone more knowledgable suggest a way to make what initially seemed a simple task work?
